East of Eden

The seven Episode Limited Series is set to hit Netflix on October 1st.

The Dramatic story is loosely based on the biblical stories of both Cain and Abel and Adam and Eve. It dives into the eternal struggle of good and evil, heavily breaking down human capacity for moral choice and free will.

This series is the live action of the classic John Steinbeck's 1952 novel that spans across multiple generations of families in Californias Sallina's Valley took over 6 months to film here in our beautiful Aotearoa!

We have two brothers who are vastly different - the kind and gentle Adam (Christoper Abbott) and the violent Charles (Mike Faist). Adam is manipulated into marriage by the cruel Cathy (Florence Pugh) who later betrays him leaving him alone with their two kids to join a brothel. This story features dark twists and a lot of emotion, with the star studded cast we know that they will deliver!

Its obviously a LOT deeper than this, but this is my version of a quick run down for you without giving too much away!

If you are into period pieces or a story that makes you feel, then this will be the series for you.

We luckily were able to have had a lot of talent work on this series, a lot of whom got to work so closely with the Actors and from the stories we have heard it was a very fun series to create despite its dramatic themes.

Period pieces are always the hardest to make due to the attention needed to every detail, the building of sets and costumes etc, a lot of work goes into it and from what we can see so far with these first look stills, the team has nailed it.

Make sure you watch it on Netflix while you can!
