Professional Photoshoot Preparation
So you've decided it's time to book in and get some professional photos done to spruce up your KAM profile, but you're probably wondering, what you need to do/bring in order to make this a smooth and enjoyable process, right? Well, don't worry, you've clicked on the right article!
Before Booking:
Before anything, make sure you book in on a date where you are 100% available with no time restrictions. Our monthly photoshoots book out super quick so we cannot afford to have any talent not show up or run late to their time slot. This is unfair not only to the team running the shoot but also other talent who may've missed out on an opportunity to book in as all slots were taken!
Payment:
Our professional photoshoots cost $150 total per person with $50 of this being a deposit that is required in advance to secure your spot. The team will be in touch with all of the payment details you need in order to make this payment!
After Booking:
Once you have booked and made payment you will be sent a document from Kim including all information you need to know in preparation for the shoot.
Wardrobe/Hair and Makeup:
This will include notes regarding wardrobe, hair and makeup for your photos. It is super important you read this thoroughly and pack all of the clothes and accessories you would like to take with you - my advice would be to bring more than you think you may need. There is nothing worse than having a talent show up to the set with nothing but the clothes they've come wearing. These photos are You always want to be over prepared as opposed to underprepared, trust me!
It is also important you show up with a range of different styles, colour and types of clothing! For example, bring along the floral blouse, the checkered button up and the flowy dress - the whole goal is for you to look and feel your absolute best in these photos, so wear what makes you happy! However, you will only get three outfit changes during your shoot, so choose wisely!
Location/parking:
This email will also include the location of the shoot. It is super important that you have a look beforehand and plan your route so you are on time for your shoot on the day. Parking instructions are also provided, we would recommend trying to arrive 5-10 minutes early to ensure you are able to get a parking space and aren't rushing around trying to find somewhere to park! Please note parking at our current studio is not free and is your responsibility to pay for!
Children:
We highly encourage all of our youth talent to get some sort of professional photos taken for their profile, just as the industry is super competitive and this is a great way seperate them from the rest of talent around their age! We have similar wardrobe briefs and guidelines for our youth talent, I have attached them below for you to read through! I have also added some awesome examples of professional photos from some of our awesome youths!
How the shoot will run:
You will get 30 minutes of one-on-one time to spend with the photographer and the KAM agent who will be running the shoot. We are there to help guide you through the shoot, offering help and ideas on how to stand/pose and even what to wear! We believe we know what types of photos production want to see, so this guidance is super beneficial! You are more than welcome to incorporate your own poses and knowledge into the shoot, at the end of the day, you want to end up with a range of photos you are happy with!
You will be emailed your photos within a week or two of the shoot - 10 of these will be professionally edited for you by us to use on your profile.
