The Power Of The Dog is now out.

With over 12 Academy Award nominations in different category's, New Zealand native Jane Champion took away the Oscar for Best Director.

Its just incredible when Kiwis are recognised on an international level.

We have so much talent in Aotearoa and the more films that are brought our way, the more our creatives get to shine!

This dramatic period piece is set in 1925 and follows Phil (Benedict Cumberbatch) who is a cruel and evil farmer in Montana, he runs the family ranch and lives with his brother George (Jesse Plemons). Things take a dark turn when he marries a local widow Rose (Kirsten Dunst) and her and her son move onto the land. The story tackles some heartbreaking and tough topics, the acting is incredible and emotional and if you give this movie a chance you will truly see why it was nominated for so many awards.

We were lucky enough to cast a few talent in this film whilst it was filming in Auckland before it made its way down south for some more stunning location scenes.

One very fun fact is we cast Kirsten Dunst's Piano double in the film! It was KAM's very own Miriam who is super talented! When you watch the movie you will see the EXACT scene we are talking about here.

We at KAM love film, so watching the movies that are nominated for Oscars is something we usually do, but when a movie we worked on is nominated its a MUST!
