CHIEF OF WAR

Chief of War is out now on Apple TV!

This was a HUGE Production that KAM was lucky enough to work on. Now, we say this for every production we work on, but this one was incredibly special to us, not only was it fun working with so many talented creatives in our industry to bring this story to life, but it was extra special that such a historical milestone in film relating to representation of Polynesian Culture was able to be filmed in Aotearoa.
Anyone who knows KAM, knows that we were built on Diversity being our core focus and we are proud to still be one of New Zealand's most diverse Agency's, so it was incredible to be able to offer so many talent the opportunity to work on this set and be a part of this emotional and captivating story.

Chief of War is a Drama Series that follows the unification and Colonization of Hawaii. It follows the story or Ka'iana, a legendary Maui war Chief who is played by Jason Momoa as he faces a power struggle between the four independent Islands before they were united under King Kamehameha. It is a story of loyalty and politics and is jam packed with lots of action. Quite a few of the Action Extras were booked through KAM! A lot of rehearsal time went into the action sequences and they became a family by the time the 6 months was up!

We also cast two Actors - Wolf Chen who played China Jack and Compton Vaka who played O'ahu Village Boy. Both Actors detailed the set as being incredible, the other Actors being welcoming and it being an incredible experience overall. 

We also provided a lot of Featured Extras and Standard Extras. Being able to see them all in their costumes and hearing stories about how Jason and the cast embraced everyone was so heart warming and only adds on to how incredibly special this production was as well as everyone who worked on it.

This series is deeply moving and shows deep cultural authenticity and is hopefully only the start for authentic representation within our industry and our fingers and toes are CROSSED for a Season Two!
