ASB TVC - Run, Run, Run!
We work on some pretty epic TV commercial shoots here at KAM, the latest being this super epic one for ASB! This campaign was shot to showcase that ASB is now an official partner of Athletics NZ and the NZ team to the Olympic games!
There were 70 extras from KAM that worked over 2 days to get this TVC filmed. Out of these 70, we had 2 featured extras! Filming took place in Ngatea and Westmere and had our extras starting on set from 4am each day! All extras were bussed to location together, making it an awesome way to get to know who you're going to be spending the next 12+ hours with - days didn't wrap until after 5pm!
As you can see in the videos and pictures attached, there was A LOT of running involved! Production had specifically asked for talent who were keen to run, and boy did they! Can you imagine 12 hours of running, sounds like my nightmare and Kim's dream!
My favourite part is the theme behind the commercial. It features Ben starting his running journey where other runners joined in to support him throughout his run! Think Forrest Gump I think ASB did such an awesome job of creating an entertaining yet heartwarming TVC that shows the importance of having a support system around you - especially when you're trying something new or out of your comfort zone. Such an awesome TVC for our talent to be a part of!
I checked in with a few of the talent who were part of this awesome project, this is what they had to say!
Amitkumar Parekh:
"Collaborative, fast-paced and community focused production featuring relatable Kiwi storylines, humorous charcter dynamics and signature brand elements like Clever Kash or the popular couple Ben and Amy.'
Alata Culpan:
'The shot was really unique and it was funs eeing all types of different characters. All us running in our characters was very fun too!'
Scott Geen:
'Had a great day, great people, great meals, I enjoyed the day, 10/10!'
Denaly Ball:
'This has easily been one of my favourite shoots so far. I think it's because it combined two things I love most - being active and exercising. It was also nice catching up with some of the amazing ladies I'd met on previous shoots. One of my favourite parts of being on set is the increidble food. Huge shoutout to the amazing caterers who work so hard to keep everyone well-fed and energized throughout the day.'
