Spartacus: House of Ashur

The Historical Spartacus Series is BACK!

Spartacus: House of Ashur bypasses the original story of Spartacus and continues on as if Ashur did not die up on that mountain as the last series alluded to. In fact it follows his story of being granted his freedom and gifted a vacant school for Gladiators that was previously owned by his old master. Ashur who is mocked among the elite for his illegitimate blood and for being the one who cowardly stabbed Spartacus in the back, is desperate to win acceptance and secure a foothold with the elite. Ashur ignores traditional arena rules and introduces a massive controversy to Capua by bringing the first ever FEMALE Gladiator - Achilla. 

As an ALL Female team we thought this was absolutely iconic! To see a powerful woman take on the world of man in such a historical story was just incredible and if that's not a reason to watch, then the fact that KAM had MULTIPLE Featured Talent throughout the series, as well as hundreds of Extras should be! In almost every scene you can practically point out a face from KAM.

This series contained a lot of Arena Days which is essentially where the Gladiators are fighting in the pit, and who better to fill that arena than KAM Talent?

I was lucky enough to be invited to see the action in person, I was given a tour of the sets of Capua and even got to watch the Gladiators in Stunt Rehearsal. I just so happened to be there on one of the big Arena days and seeing all of our talent dressed up in their costumes and seeing just how much work goes into those big days just makes our jobs so worth while. Really getting to know and see what goes into what turns into snippets on screen is pretty incredible.

We were so sad when this series did not get renewed for Season Two but are crossing our fingers and toes that another streaming platform sees the MAGIC behind it and will take it on, watch this space!
