Tina Film
Tinā, a beautiful film about healing, culture and resilience directed by Mika Magasiva.
It follows the story of a grieving mother who tragically looses her daughter in an Earthquake and shares the story of her healing process as she navigates this new world. She reluctantly takes a teaching job at an elite boarding School where she forms a choir and takes inspiration from her Samoan culture to connect with the students and in return it gives her a new passion for life.
Anapela Polataivao's performance in this film is incredible, it was emotional and authentic.
It's always so special when KAM gets to work on a local Production with Kiwi Actors, Crew and stories. It immediately makes us feel more connected to the filming process and we can really feel the pressure to help bring these stories to life and do them justice.
This film did this and beyond, it broke records and quickly became one of New Zealand's most successful films!
We highly recommend you watch this film whilst it is still on Netflix.
