Young Actors Acting Class

What:

A great course, taught by proven industry professionals, and a fantastic opportunity to be seen by a well respected NZ casting director.

The Training School & Rachel Bullock Casting presents a two-day workshop for teenagers.

The Development of the young actor is accomplished by teaching students how to transfer creativity, spontaneity and energy into the tools necessary to perform as an actor.

Activities that encourage collaborative skills will result in students gaining an understanding of what auditioning and acting is all about.

The class is a logical progression into screen acting. The primary focus will be on character development through screen text, improvisation and script analysis.

Students will work on scripted scenes from TV Dramas cast by Casting Director

Rachel Bullock and have the chance to apply the various acting skills they've studied.

At the end of the course all work will be viewed by tutors Charlie Bleakley, Cohen Holloway and Rachel Bullock. A written sheet of feedback will then be emailed or posted to all agents and or students. All students will then be in the minds of three working professional in the film and TV industry for up and coming casting's.

Last year it was a stepping stone for many young teenagers to getting working in the industry.

When:

2-Day workshop in Wellington during April School Holidays 2011

Hours 9am - 5pm & morning and afternoon tea is supplied.

Week 1

Ages: 11 - 13 years ( limited to 12 places )
Fee: $250 incl GST
Dates: First week dates 18^th & 19^th April 2011

Week 2

Ages: 14 - 17 years ( limited to 12 places )
Fee: $250 incl GST
Dates: Second week dates 28^th & 29^th April 2011
